Honeycomb Aerospace UAVs Drove New Breakthroughs for Coastal Patrol Operations

Recently, Honeycomb Aerospace UAVs successfully carried out routine patrol missions within the eastern and southern industrial zones of the Lingang Area, Tianjin Port Bonded Zone. This milestone marked the entry of coastal line management into a new intelligent phase. The patrol not only accomplished the tasks of warning, voice warnings, and expulsion against irregular activities such as illegal fishing and unauthorized fishing vessel operations, but also further enhanced the efficiency, accuracy, and response speed of regional management.


Patrol Covered Key Areas, Intelligent Management Enhanced Safety



The patrol covered critical locations including Baishuitou, the harbor basin and the jetty within the Lingang Area. The round-trip patrol route extended nearly 100 kilometers, and the entire patrol mission took only 2.5 hours to complete. The efficient task execution was attributed to the joint operation of the HC-332H hybrid electric multi-rotor UAV and HC-526 VTOL fixed-wing UAV developed by Honeycomb Aerospace.

Under the complex climatic conditions of strong coastal winds and severe salt spray corrosion, the two UAV models demonstrated outstanding long endurance and stable operation capabilities. The hybrid electric power system guaranteed extended flight time, while the VTOL models flexibly adapted to take-off and landing site restrictions, providing reliable support for mission execution.


HD Capture and Intelligent Voice Broadcast Enables Precision Inspection and Timely Feedback

During the patrol, the UAVs were equipped with high-definition (HD) cameras and high-decibel loudspeakers, allowing them to clearly capture every detail of the coastline from high altitude. The system detected potential risks promptly during flight, and addressed irregular activities through video evidence collection and targeted voice broadcast for expulsion. Managers in the command center could monitor the flight status in real time, and obtain on-site images and data support immediately, ensuring that every irregular activity was handled swiftly.


Cost Reduction and Risk Mitigation: Pioneering a New Intelligent Patrol Mode

Compared with traditional manual patrol, the UAV patrol model significantly reduced labor costs and on-site safety risks. In previous patrol work, personnel often had to complete monitoring tasks on foot or by boat for long periods of time, which was not only time-consuming and labor-intensive, but also accompanied by certain safety hazards. Today, with the advanced technology of Honeycomb Aerospace UAVs, patrol efficiency has been significantly improved, while exposure risks for personnel under harsh conditions have been greatly reduced.




Breakthrouh in UAV Patrol: Setting a New Benchmark for Intelligent Management

The outstanding performance of the HC-332H hybrid electric multi-rotor UAV and HC-526 vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) fixed-wing UAV in this coastal line patrol fully demonstrated the technical advantages of Honeycomb Aerospace UAVs—long endurance, short mission time and high reliability. The successful implementation of this new patrol model not only provided an efficient and safe intelligent solution for coastal line management of Tianjin Port Bonded Zone, but also set a new benchmark for patrol tasks in other ports, coastal areas and water-adjacent zones.
